Video: Barbara Bush Talks George W. Bush’s Painting of Husband and Why She Won’t Pose for Her Son!

Former first lady (and first mother) Barbara Bush made an appearance on Today with Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and granddaughter Jenna Bush Hager to chat about the painting her son, former President George W. Bush painted of her husband (my birthday twin) and former President George H. W. Bush. Have you had a chance to view the beautiful artwork the former President has painted? George and Laura’s daughter (and Today contributor) Jenna interviewed her dad to discuss his work and new art exhibit. Here’s a little known fact neither our 43rd President nor his family knew he was such a gifted painter up until recently. The real question here is how Barbara felt about her son’s depiction of his father (“and his favorite painting he’s ever painted”) who will be celebrating his 90th birthday on June 12th. Her reaction is priceless! Apparently he wrote on the back of her favorite painting “This goes back to George W. when I die.” She also dished on why she won’t pose for a painting.

Barbara Bush talks with Savanna Guthrie, Matt Lauer, granddaughter Jenna Bush Hager about her son former President George W. Bush's painting of his father and whether or not she'll pose for her son.
