Gaby Dalkin: “Twistos are really amazing baked snack bites and they’re kind of amazing for everything.”

 

Candace Rose: Do you have any easy-to-make recipes that you can share with us?

Gaby Dalkin: “I have tons of easy-to-make snack recipes, I’m currently really obsessed with baked chicken fingers, they’re breaded with Twistos Bruschetta snack bites so they have tons of flavor baked into that, and you can make them ahead of time. You just pop them in the oven or in the microwave when you’re trying to get food on the table for you and the kids or anything like that.”

Candace Rose: What are some of your favorite snacks?

Gaby Dalkin: “I’m really into the roasted red pepper dip, it is with roasted red pepper, almonds, its got a little bit of spice that you can tone down if you wish. It’s so good and it’s something you can keep on hand at all times.”

Candace Rose: What are some ingredients that you think everyone should have in their pantries or refrigerators that also makes great snacks?

Gaby Dalkin: “I’m a big fan of keeping fresh citrus on hand, so I always have lemon or limes. Also, fresh and dried herbs because those can really jazz up snack time. You can put them in whipped goat cheese – so many different applications for that.”

Candace Rose: What are some of the hot flavor and ingredient trends at the moment?

Gaby Dalkin: “I’m super into global cuisine and bringing it into your own kitchen, so take something from your travels, bring it home and put it into your favorite homemade recipe, I think that’s super on trend right now.”

 

Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share with us?

Gaby Dalkin: “I think we should also talk about this hot caprese dip because it’s perfect for any time of the year and it’s great for entertaining friends and family.”

Whipped Goat Cheese and TWISTOS Parmesan & Garlic Flavored Baked Snack Bites 

 

Recipe:

Ingredients:

11 ounces goat cheese

3 tablespoons whipped cream cheese

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

TWISTOS Parmesan & Garlic Flavored Baked Snack Bites

 

Directions:

Combine the goat cheese, cream cheese, and thyme leaves in a food processor. Whip for 60-90 seconds until smooth. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.

 

Serve with TWISTOS Parmesan & Garlic Flavored Baked Snack Bites.

Roasted Red Pepper Dip with TWISTOS Asiago Flavored Baked Snack Bites

 

Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 cup almonds

3/4 cup TWISTOS Asiago Flavored Baked Snack Bites

2 roasted red bell peppers

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 small shallot, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses

1 lemon, juiced

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

 

Directions:

Toast the almonds in a small skillet over medium high heat for 5 minutes – just until fragrant. Set aside.

 

In a high-powered blender or food processor, process the TWISTOS Asiago Flavored Baked Snack Bites until pulverized.

 

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.

 

Adjust seasoning if needed and serve with TWISTOS Asiago Flavored Baked Snack Bites or assorted crudité.

Hot Caprese Dip served with TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites

 

Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved

2 8-ounce containers of fresh mozzarella (cut into cubes)

1/2-cup store bought basil pesto

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

 

In a small baking dish add the halved cherry tomatoes.

 

Drain the mozzarella from any water that it’s packaged with and add a layer of the mozzarella over the tomatoes. Drizzle the pesto over the top and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

 

Bake for about 25 minutes or until very hot and bubbly. Serve immediately with TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites.

Stuffed Peppadews with Goat Cheese and TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites

Recipe:

Ingredients:

1/3 cup ground TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites

6 ounces soft goat cheese, room temperature

2 large garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

2 tablespoons heavy cream

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

1 jar peppadew peppers (about 20-30 peppers)

 

Directions:

In a high-powered blender or food processor, process the TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites until pulverized.

 

In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the pulverized TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites until fragrant.

 

In a bowl, combine goat cheese, garlic, herbs, and crumbled TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites, folding together until smooth. Add heavy cream as needed to thin out filling. It should be the consistency of icing when it’s ready.

 

Season the filling with salt and pepper. Transfer the filing to a piping bag and fill each peppadew with about 1/2 teaspoon of filling until it just peaks out of the top.

 

Serve immediately and garnish with extra chopped chives as desired.

Bruschetta Breaded Chicken Fingers 

 

Recipe:

Ingredients:

2 boneless, skinless, boneless chicken breasts

1 egg, beaten

1 cup buttermilk

1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup crushed TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper

½ cup vegetable oil for frying

 

Directions

Carefully cut each of the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches each.

 

Place the chicken strips into a large resealable plastic bag.

 

In a small bowl, mix together the egg, buttermilk and garlic powder. Pour the liquid into the bag with chicken. Seal, and refrigerate for 2 hours.

 

In another large resealable plastic bag, mix together the flour, crushed TWISTOS Bruschetta Flavored Baked Snack Bites, salt and pepper. Remove the chicken from the refrigerator, and drain off the liquid. Place the chicken into flour mixture bag. Seal and shake to coat.

 

Heat the vegetable oil in a large, heavy bottom skillet over medium heat.

 

Carefully place coated chicken in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked. Remove cooked chicken with a pair of tongs and drain on paper towels. Serve alongside your dipping sauce of choice.
