I love spring not just for the beautiful weather, but the gorgeous flowers blooming in our garden. For those who aren’t aware, my mom and I grow English roses in Northern California, and we have the pleasure of working with a few of the top florists in the region. As much as I love gazing at the gorgeous buds and stunning blooms in the garden, there’s nothing quite like knowing that the roses that you’ve planted, watched grow, fertilized and cut are being used on a bride’s special day! Last week, Jackie and her daughter Chelsie of Jackie’s Flowers came by to cut David Austin roses in shades of peach for a wedding that was taking place at The Fireside restaurant in Sacramento on Saturday! I didn’t know much about it, other than I hoped and prayed that the bride and groom wouldn’t have rain on their special day. The saying is true, it rarely rains in Northern California, and for it to rain in late April? Well, that just rarely happens. Thankfully, the weather cooperated and the bride and groom were blessed to not only have a gorgeous wedding, but to have Jackie’s Flowers to create the bouquets for their special day! Little did I know, the bride has one of the most beautiful names on the planet – Candice, of course! Congratulations to Candice and her groom, Victor on their nuptials, we’re so happy that our roses were used in your beautiful bouquets and centerpieces.
Talented florist and photographer, Chelsie took these gorgeous photos of the flowers at Candice and Victor’s wedding. How stunning are the bouquets? Adore the lovely ranunculus, tulips and anemones….in addition to our garden roses! Be sure to check out their blog and Jackie’s Flowers on Facebook!
