There are a few things I can’t live without in life and a good pair of headphones is one of them. I use them for my business when transcribing interviews I’ve conducted on YouTube; listening to music when exercising, pruning roses in the garden, dancing- you name it. I can’t tell you how many sets of headphones I’ve gone through in the last few years, because honestly…I’ve gone through so many, I don’t know! My main dilemmas with headphones have to be how uncomfortable they feel when I put them in my ears (especially the ones that came with my iPhone 5S), or when I’m pruning roses and they get caught. Since headphones are such a big part of my life- from work to relaxing, having a good pair that I can actually afford is extremely important.
Last month I was approached about reviewing a pair of SOL REPUBLIC Relays headphones and I jumped at the chance. I’ve taken about three weeks to use the SOL REPUBLIC Relays while transcribing interviews, when dancing in the living room, jumpe roping under the porch when it was too wet to exercise outdoors, when pruning old English roses in the garden, and when walking in the field across the street from my house photographing Sand Hill Cranes….trust me, the list goes on. I use them on the daily! I have been thoroughly impressed with the sound, quality, comfort and durability of the headphones. Not only is the sound fantastic, but they don’t get caught, are very durable and can I just say how nice it is to not have ear discomfort?! The reason they’re so comfortable is that they offer four different sized ear tips, they fit perfectly.
I haven’t used them when driving, but I’ve heard you don’t need to change headphones when commuting or working because the “easily accessible mic and phone control lets you seamlessly stay in touch.” They’re water and sweat resistant, the clip-on cable is genius (hence why they never get caught), and as I mentioned, just so comfortable. They come in a variety of colors: black, white, horizon blue and lemon lime and retail for $79.99 at Verizon. If you’re life depends on headphones when commuting, working or relaxing…you will really want to give them a try!
