We all know how important it is to give back to those in need or less fortunate, but many times we stop ourselves in our tracks because we don’t think we have the time or the money. Last week I had the privilege of speaking with mother-daughter philanthropists Lisa and Lulu Cerone, who have made giving back to others a priority in life.
Lisa’s daughter Lulu decided at the age of 10 after the earthquake in Haiti, that she wanted to do her part. She created, organized and executed a large scale school wide fundraiser to benefit those who were affected by the tragedy. Lulu raised more than $4,000. Today, four years later, Lulu has raised more than $20,000.
Lisa and Lulu were kind enough to join me to discuss what inspired Lulu to help others and how parents can encourage their kids to give back, tips on how to throw a philanthro-party, and much more!
