Beauty expert Jeannine Morris of Beauty Sweet Spot dropped by to share her Valentine’s beauty must haves just in time for the most romantic night of the year. She also dished on the top fashion trends for girls celebrating Valentine’s night with their best friends or couples enjoying a romantic date night!
Candace Rose: With Valentine’s Day just a day away what beauty products do we need to be ready for the big night and where do we start?
Jeannine Morris: “With Valentine’s Day, I say pay attention to details to take it from a regular date night to the most romantic evening of the year. You really want to pay attention to specifics, and you want to start with a fragrance. You can have the perfect dress and a great pair of heels but unless you have the right fragrance it doesn’t really matter. You want to find a fragrance that’s romantic, sexy, vibrant and flirty all at the same time. I recommend Guess Girl eau de toilette. This is brand new from the brand, and Guess as you know has been really popular in the fashion industry for the past 30 years because of their iconic Guess girls.
For this one, their latest girl is Amber Heard. They partnered with her to launch this scent and she really identifies with the modern contemporary woman of today, just like this fragrance does. The fragrance is a fresh fruity floral with nodes of lily and melon, also vanilla and sandalwood. Vanilla is an aphrodisiac, making it appropriate for Valentine’s Day, but also it’s an appropriate gift to give somebody because it has a price point of $62 and it’s available at Guess.com.”
Candace Rose: Are there any other must haves you recommend for Valentine’s Day?
Jeannine Morris: “Of course. You must have kiss ready confidence. What I mean by that is use Scope mouthwash before your date because fresh breath is the ultimate confidence booster. Scope Outlast delivers fresh breath and courage with every single ounce. So no matter what kind of date you’re going on, having fresh breath and that out of the way will allow you to have a great date. Scope has a Facebook page for lots of courage boosting tips on it, so I recommend checking that out.
A lot of women celebrate Valentine’s Day with their best friends. Single ladies celebrate it just like couples do. I used to do it for years, it was so much fun. But know your audience and dress appropriately. So if you’re going out with the ladies, dress for the ladies. And what I mean by that is being fashion forward. Wear a pink dress with red heels, put on some fake eyelashes and some red lipstick. Women love to see other women really dressing for each other.
However, if you’re going with a man on Valentine’s Day just take it all off. They don’t want to see all the flare, they don’t want to see the fashion forward outfit. Men aren’t impressed by that. They’re more impressed by your natural beauty and your comfort level. In other words, all they want to see is confidence. Men don’t like red lipstick, so keep it to a nude gloss and just be yourself if you’re on a romantic date.”
Candace Rose: Do you have any outfit recommendations if you are going out with a guy on Valentine’s night?
Jeannine Morris: “I always say wear a dress. Wear a dress you’re most comfortable in on Valentine’s Day. On any other date night you’ll probably be wearing jeans, sometimes a dress or a skirt. But on Valetine’s Day, step it up.”
Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share?
Jeannine Morris: “That’s all for today. Make sure you know confidence is your best accessory and make sure you pay attention to the details on Valentine’s Day.”
Candace Rose: Where can we go for more information?
Jeannine Morris: “For more information you can go to LifeMinute.tv.”
