Candace Rose: What are the hottest gifts this holiday season?

Chris Leary: “Well, I’m going to give you the winners here, and I have a feeling there are going to be plenty of iPads given out this holiday season. And of course, now you can take them everywhere, and that is if you have the LifeProof Nuud Case for the iPad. It pretty much keeps out dirt, snow, and believe it or not- water. You can dunk this think into water and it works just perfectly, which I think is absolutely amazing. Now this fabulous thin design gives you the freedom to stay connected at work, play and anywhere life takes you. It also gives you full access to the iPad controls and ports. If you are a boater or do a lot of things around water, and if you drop it, the LifeProof LifeJacket is a great accessory- it makes your iPad float which is absolutely amazing.

A lot of us take pictures with our camera on our phones, and this next thing is an incredible device for those photo lovers who don’t want to leave their camera at home and take pictures with their phone. It’s called the LG Optimus G from Sprint and it features an advanced 13 megapixel rear facing camera. It’s got a 14.7 inch display; and I think Sprint is the only network that gives you unlimited data, text and calling, so that’s kind of nice. The release is November 11th, but can be pre-ordered.”

Candace Rose: You mentioned iPads being extremely popular for the holidays, do you think we’ll see tablet prices go down at all before the holidays?

Chris Leary: “I think you might. You’re kind of stuck with buying stuff before they’re all gone or getting them at good prices. We know they’re going to be selling pretty hot. If you do get one, this Nuud case is the absolute way to go.”

Candace Rose: Are you seeing any other trends this season?

Chris Leary: “The SodaStream is near and dear to my heart. It’s a machine that makes water into soda or carbonated water in less than 30 seconds. And now they’ve teamed up with a designer Yves Behar, and the result is the new Source soda maker. It’s great, the new redesigned carbonating bottle clicks in and locks in place. It’s of course powered by the CO2 canister, and you can customize the strength of the carbonation through the LED display which provides the instant feedback that you really need. It’s got 60 different flavors to choose from and with the holidays coming up we’ve also got neat flavors from Kool-Aid.

And the next is a Kymera Magic Wand from ThinkGeek.com. This is perfect for your occasional witch, wizard or muggle in your life. It’s a wand that is also the ultimate remote control. It learns up to 13 commands from your existing remote and it maps them into the magical motions that you need to turn on and off your TV, turn the volume up, and you can do all that from the comfort of your couch.

This is the cream of the crop. This is what I consider ‘the winners’ so far.”

Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you’d like to share?

Chris Leary: “Actually we have a lot of stuff. Go to DailyLounge.com, you can stay busy all day getting all kinds of information, especially for the holidays coming up.”
