The new Southern California based networks will have exclusive partnerships with the Los Angeles Lakers, LA Galaxy, Los Angeles Sparks and California Interscholastic Foundation, and will broadcast over 150 live sporting events in addition to behind-the-scenes team exclusives you won’t see anywhere else!

LA Lakers power forward/center Pau Gasol, who is a native of Spain, is enthusiastic about the launch of Time Warner Cable Deportes, and stated “to be able to have a Spanish speaking channel to the fans – the huge latino fan base that we have, I think it’s a great thing to have. As a Spaniard and a latino player, it’s something that I take pride on, and I’m glad that it’s happening.” LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham mentioned “I think it’s incredible. It’s great for all kinds of sports and all kinds of athletes across LA and across every channel. It’s amazing.” NBA Hall of Famer James Worthy who signed on as a Lakers studio analyst with Time Warner Cable SportsNet, had this to say about the new network, “all the Laker games will be televised. We’re bringing so much more than we ever have to our fans and audience, and it’s just going to be an outstanding season for us to cover the Lakers this year.”
