Candace Rose: What are the latest and greatest breakthroughs this season?

Polly Blitzer: "Well, there are so many skincare breakthroughs, and I'm so excited to share them with you, because you know that I test a thousand products a month in search for the best! So let's start at the top with the face. Avon has their Anew Genics Treatment Concentrate which is pretty amazing because it's the first brand to use this patented Youthgen technology. It's designed to stimulate the youth gene in your skin so that it acts up to 10 years younger, which is amazing. It's formulated with carrot and soy extracts and it instantly softens the appearance of fine lines, of expression lines of wrinkles and discoloration and it doesn't have one of those hefty price tags that drains and depletes your checking account. It's $39.99- so you don't have to take a second mortgage on the house! You can get it through Avon reps, and you can get it at 1-800-For-Avon or

Now that we've dealt with the skin on the face, let's talk about the skin on the body. Women always ask me two things about the skin on their body- 'how can I get rid of cellulite'? 'And what can I do to get firmer skin?' So Nivea has really cornered the market in this area- they have a skin firming lotion with Q10. It visibly tightens the skin surface because it restores minerals that your skin loses over time, so it basically gives them those minerals back so that your skin acts – it kind of has memory and becomes youthful again, and firmer and tighter. And then Nivea's Skin Firming Cellulite Gel Cream is amazing because within two weeks it makes your skin noticeably firmer, and then within four weeks it visibly reduces cellulite. So basically if you start using it now you'll have a beach body by Labor Day. And they also have a fast acting serum, and if you use these altogether you will maximize your results and look amazing."

Candace Rose: Do you have any tips any summer makeup tips and trends to share with us this morning?

Polly Blitzer: "I absolutely do. So you don't want to be layering on tons and tons of products in the summer because you'll just sweat them off and between greasy skin or the heat, it's just not going to be a good look- I promise! So look for things that multitask- like an oil-free tinted moisturizer with sunscreen (with SPF). It will give you your sunscreen, your hydration and your foundation all-in-one. So apply that just over one skincare product and you'll be good to go or even just alone.

And then also in terms of color- try to do one shot of bold color, so you don't have competing sort of battle of bands on your face. You don't want to have the bold eyes and the bold lips in the summer. So go for a lip stain or a tinted lip balm or glossy lips or you can try and swap your same old, same old brown or black eyeliner with something like an indigo or a teal or something that's even a little bit more vibrant like a purple. And just rim your eyes, and it'll sort of give people a flash of color, but without being too theatrical or clown-like."

Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you'd like to share?

Polly Blitzer: "Yes, nails are also a very easy way to participate in a color trend without making too big of an investment. So for $7 (for example) you can try a neon yellow, and then you can just up that. It'll basically be the perfect accessory to update last season's little white dress or that little black dress you have or anything in your closet. And if you were to let's say buy a dress in that color you could spend a few hundred dollars. So instead of doing that, $7 for a nail polish is a very small commitment to participate in a trend. And if you don't like how it looks get a cotton ball with some nail polish remover and go back to your old favorite color."

Candace Rose: Where can we go for more information?

Polly Blitzer: For more information you can go to or to"
