Beauty expert and new mom, Polly Blitzer stopped by this week to share her favorite beauty buys and trends this season. From how to obtain glowing skin to beautiful makeup trends, Polly has everything you need to have you looking fresh and gorgeous this summer!
Polly Blitzer: "We're here to talk about the best finds for summer. We're all so busy going to events and having photo opps all summer long, so from head to toe these are the picks. Let's start at the top with the face. Neutrogena has a Rapid Wrinkle Repair that delivers the most advanced form of accelerated retinol that works really fast. 100% of the women who used this had visible results in just one week. And they just introduced a new Silky Serum which smoothes over your complexion, it helps to fade the look of stubborn, fine lines and wrinkles and it brightens your skin tone. So it's Neutrogena and available at drugstores.
The skin on your body is another story, and I test body washes all the time. I'm obsessed with Dove's new VisibleCare Toning Creme Body Wash. It is amazing because it gives you beautiful, soft and smooth skin. It has the highest concentration of Nutrium Moisture technology in the entire Dove portfolio. So that means that it promotes really strong skin elasticity, skin strength and it's just amazing to use because within one week you'll see a visible difference. You'll also see instant results as well. It's hydrating, it's moisturizing, it has a rich pearly formula. I'm a huge fan and that's available at drugstores too. It improves the look and feel of your skin in just a week.
And then now that we've gotten gorgeous, I'm ready to get rid of your unwanted hair. It's usually a don't go there topic, but I'm going to go there because the number one name in hair removal is Sally Hansen. You get salon results at home. It's fast and easy to use- no microwave, no mess, no fuss. The results last for up to eight weeks because they have these pre-waxed, pre-shaped strips; and all you do is rub them on and peel them off, and voila. You just get the smoothest results, plus it comes with a soothing finishing oil that's spiked with azulene, and vitamin E and sesame oil and menthol, so it's cooling and soothing. It's so easy to use! Each kit is for different body parts and they're all under $7 again, at the drugstore.
And last but not least, Candace- we can't forget about makeup. Everyone these days is raving about long fluttery lashes. The thing is that in the summertime mascara can really run and make you look like a raccoon. We don't want that. Even waterproof formulas don't do the trick, so people are using lash serums to enhance the lashes and I'm obsessed with RapidLash it's an eyelash and eyebrow enhancing serum. It's spiked with a proprietary blend of proteins and vitamins and botanicals and minerals. It's great because this blend really helps to accentuate the lashes. You just sweep it along the lash line and it conditions the area. It's been tested by dermatologists and opthamologists so it's safe and easy to use, and it's very affordable and again, this blend of vitamins and minerals and botanicals and proteins just really does the trick. From head to toe we have Neutrogena and Dove and Sally Hansen and RapidLash. This is what you need to look gorgeous and put your best face forward all summer long."
Candace Rose: I can attest to the fact that RapidLash is amazing. I use it on the daily- I love it.
Polly Blitzer: "Oh that's amazing! You see results so quickly- in a couple weeks."
Candace Rose: Oh yeah! And do you mind sharing some of the biggest trends this year?
Polly Blitzer: "This season I am loving the matching lips and tips, basically it used to be sort of a faux pas to go for a rich red lip and rich red lips or to do coral and coral or pink and pink, and now everyone's doing that. In fact beauty brands are even coming out with collections where there's a matching nail polish and lipstick. We're also seeing really vibrant pops of fuchsia, so you could do a stain on the lips if you want to mute it down a little bit or even a pop of color on the cheeks. So those are sort of the color stories and the trends that I've seen."
Candace Rose: Where can we go for more information?
Polly Blitzer: "For more information you can check out LifeMinute.tv."
