Candace Rose: What's the secret to getting mom a great gift she'll love?
Jeannine Morris: "Well, you have to get her something thoughtful and something you know she'll love. Maybe she wouldn't buy it for herself or maybe she would? One of the things that I am going to recommend purchasing for her is a great fashionable accessory, and there's a cool watch by Timex- it's their Modern Originals Easy Reader®. It comes in two different styles – one of them is monochromatic and it looks very sophisticated. And the other one is white and it has colored numerals on it. So it's fun and adds a little pop of color to any outfit and those are $65 at Nordstrom.
But they also have a line that's a little bit more casual and it's their Weekender Collection. Now this collection is $34.99 at Target, but what I love about it so much is that all of the bands are interchangeable, so she can match them to any outfit she's wearing."
Candace Rose: What are some great gifts when it comes to beauty?
Jeannine Morris: "Well there's a couple things for beauty and every mom loves to pamper herself, so I have so many ideas. One of them is this collection by L'Occitane – it's their Delightful Hand Cream Collection and it comes already wrapped with a card so you don't even have to think about that. But it's three hand creams, and one of them is their best seller- it's shea butter. Their hand creams are so nourishing. Their shea butter actually sells one every five seconds, so you know they're good quality hand creams and mom's keep them everywhere. Everybody keeps one in their purse- so that's a great gift idea.
But also, L'Occitane has the Pivoine collection, and the Pivoine collection is a very light scented floral collection that has an eau de toilette, a shimmering body powder and other things that start at $12."
Candace Rose: How about gifts that give back?
Jeannine Morris: "Gifts that give back- Johnson's has a baby care program that they're doing now and what they're doing is they're putting together these kits of everything a baby might need. And babies need things from ointments to lotions to washes and they're putting them aside for times of disaster. Now if a disaster strikes and a family is in need, Johnson's going to ship these kits out and when families get them they're going to make sure that their baby is healthy, safe and that everything is okay. So they created a Youtube video about this whole program, so if you watch the video you're helping already because if Johnson's gets up to 500,000 views they're donating $50,000 to Save the Children. You can find out more about the program that they're doing that every mom in the world can appreciate on the Johnson's baby Facebook page.

But you know, sometimes moms can get a little bit of help in the makeup department, and May is a great time to refresh the makeup bag, so I have some really affordable steals and splurges from ULTA that I have to tell you about. One of them is their 5-in-1 color collection and it is 61 pieces of makeup for your eyes, lips and cheeks for only $24.99- so that's like a really grand gift for your mom at an affordable price.
But if she's more of a lipgloss woman, they also partnered with Smashbox and they have an exclusive on a five little lip gloss mini kit that retails for $29.
And then they also have a little mini nailpolish set that's under $10. at ULTA. So if you want to help her refresh her makeup bag that's a great place to go for some affordable options."
Candace Rose: Do you have any additional tips or information you'd like to share?
Jeannine Morris: "I think Mother's Day is one day out of the year that you could show your mom how much you appreciate her, but it's something to keep in mind all year round."
Candace Rose: Where can we go for more information?
Jeannine Morris: "You can go to LifeMinute.tv."
