Tara kraftShape's Editor-in-Chief, Tara Kraft with the must have beauty buys for travel!

Candace Rose: What are the must have items every woman needs when traveling?

Tara Kraft: "Well, you know, all women want to look glamorous on the go, so I've got some great tips! My first tips is that you need to keep your skin nourished and clean, and a product that's been around for years, I really rely on to do just that- Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel oil controlling towelettes are amazing because they're individually wrapped. They're little packets that you can toss in your bag or place in your carry-on, and you'll zoom right through security. And the all natural witch hazel helps to gently remove excess oil and impurities, and they also have aloe which helps to soften skin and also to refresh your skin as well. Plus, these do not have any harsh ingredients or soaps, so your skin will not feel dried out, it will not be irritated and you won't be left with that kind of stripped or sticky feeling. And they're $5.49 at Walgreens or at Walmart, so they're a great buy."

Candace Rose: You can't beat that at all.

Tara Kraft: "No, and then I've got another great tip- believe it or not if you are going on a three day trip I suggest doing your hair before you go because John Frieda has come out with this incredible product that allows you to do your hair before you go on vacation, and not have to worry about it again for three days. And I'm not even kidding this is amazing. John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight semi permanent styling spray is an at home alternative to salon keratin treatments, and women are going crazy for these. It's a weightless product, and you simply just mist it throughout your damp hair, blow dry and then flat iron, and it will give women with coarse to curly hair, salon like straightening results that last for a full three days without shampooing. It harnesses the power of keratin protein, and with the help of that flat iron it blocks out frizz and really locks in the shine, the glossiness, the sleekness, and that straight hair look for three full days. It's great! And it's $9.99 at drugstores."

Candace Rose: And how about when it comes to fashion?

Tara Kraft: "I say dress in layers. That is a must, because when you are on a plane or in a car I constantly am switching from feeling hot to cold, so when you're in layers it's perfect because you can really make yourself comfortable no matter what. Also, wherever you land if you're coming from a cooler location and you land in a sunny locale you can take that sweater off that you wore on the plane, and sport a tank top underneath and you're good to go."

Candace Rose: Do you have any tips when it comes to packing?

Tara Kraft: "Definitely make a list and stick with it, and then place all your items before you actually put them in a suitcase onto your bed or onto a couch and evaluate. Look at it, and say 'do I really need all of this'? And you know, I'm one of those girls that believes yes you can overpack, but I say if you're on the fence on something bring it because you know what? As women we always sometimes wanting the one thing we didn't bring."

Candace Rose: "Do you have any additional tips or information you'd like to share?

Tara Kraft: "Well, I always recommend bringing warm socks, and blankies on the plane or in the car with you. And for more information you can head to the newsstand to pick up Shape or, or visit"
