NBC's Today show contributor, Eric Villency joined me this week to share the top trends in fashion and in hair care for men for fall!
Candace Rose: What does every guy need this fall when it comes to hair care and grooming?
Eric Villency: "Well, you know guys think a lot about their hair and it's an age old dilemma that we have because we want our hair just so; but the women in our life, well they want to to be able to run their hands through our hair, not always possible if you have a very hard crusty product in our hair. But the good news is Axe came out with a great product that gives us the natural soft feel that the ladies will like, as well as giving us the style we want; it's called Hold + Touch and it's got three different products based on hair type- the spiking glue for normal hair, the cream wax for thick hair and a paste for fine hair."
CR: What are the latest fashion trends for men this fall?
EV: "Well, the latest fashion trends are basically a lot of versatility. The colors that are going to be really popular are gray, as well as some purple and in fact I have this great suit from Men's Wearhouse which is the classic two button from Calvin Klein shown in the gray. You can really see how you can have some fun with the look. We have the Joseph Abboud tie in purple; it adds a little life, a little color to the outfit. So just because you have some gray going on doesn't mean it can't be fun as well."
CR: How about when it comes to casual wear?
EV: "Yeah, so I stopped at the Men's Wearhouse and I always knew they had these great suits but I was also really happy to see they have great outerwear- coats, scarves and really good casual stuff. I threw together an outfit- Lucky jeans, a Pronto Uomo sweater and an Egara shirt; and the big trend here is that I can mix and match. I can take the suit jacket, I can wear with my jeans. I can wear it dressed for work, I can also dress for after work and that gives you a lot of value and it gives you a lot of style in your look. And while I was at Men's Wearhouse I saw that they have this great participation in National Suit Drive; so if you bring in a gently worn suit, they're going to get it to someone who really needs it. You get a tax deduction as well as a 50% off discount; so not only are you going to look good, you're going to do a good thing."
