Product Review: Dryel Stain Remover

As someone who gets messy no matter where she's at or what she eats on the daily, when I was approached about reviewing Dryel, I knew I had to give it a try. For instance I was recently at a nice restaurant enjoying a fantastic meal when whoops all of a sudden I spilled avocado on my brand new BCBG knit sweater. I felt even worse when I realized it had to be dry cleaned. Grreeeat just my luck! What made matters worse was I forgot all about it for a few weeks, and the stain had set in. Thankfully just as I was about to take it to the cleaners, I decided to try this product. I had my doubts as many products claim to the job, but don't. Thankfully I didn't listen to my instincts and gave it a try.

(Before going on, I must state that Dryel is ONLY for cleaning lightly soiled clothing and freshening them.)

I tried it on two items, a cotton top (that can be laundered regularly) which had just been lightly soiled with tomato and my BCBG sweater which I had gotten avocado on a few weeks ago.

I followed the simple instructions……

Dryelpen I used the Dryel instant stain remover pen by squeezing it onto the stain, then scrubbed it (scrubber is attached to the end of the pen).

Once that was completed I put the sweater along with the cotton top (photo n/a) into the Dryel fabric protection bag, along with an unfolded Dryel cleaning cloth and zipped up the bag.

Dryelbag Once my items were in the bag and zipped up, I put them in the dryer for 30 minutes on medium heat.

I impatiently waited the half hour, took the bag out of they dryer, did the sign of the cross 😉 pulled out my sweater and voila…..

Dryelafter AFTER: Here is an unedited/un-cropped image of the sweater. As you can see NO STAIN! 🙂 The cotton top which was not photographed was stainless as well!

Review: This product did the job and did it WELL! I am so pleased that I didn't have to waste big bucks at the dry cleaner on a little stain. I highly recommend using Dryel for cleaning your lightly soiled clothing and I intend on using it again! Grade: A!

OMG I totally forgot about Dryel! I used to sue it and it works really well – wasn’t sure they made it anymore – glad to know they do!
